WAITING PERIOD

JUST THINKING:
When my cousin was going back to school in 1998, I had to see him off to the bus park. On our way,  I asked myself when will I gain admission into the University. I gained admission two years later. Since then,  I have asked myself several questions like when will I get married,  when will I buy or wear a new suit, when will I get a job,  a car, a child and so on. Guess what,  I have seen most of them come to past before my very eyes.
But the most interesting part of it is the waiting period between when I wished,  longed and desired those things and when I actually got them. A waiting period is a very delicate and sensitive time in one's life. It could be the longest, annoying,  frustrating or productive, unfruitful, fruitful and interesting time in one's life.

Psalm 130:5-6 says that  "I wait eagerly for the Lord's help, and in his word I trust.  I wait for the Lord more eagerly than sentries wait for the dawn— than sentries wait for the dawn". GNT

Someone once said she respects people who are in their waiting period because you can't tell what they will become in life. The waiting period of your life could be the best time of your life. Do not waste your pain,  struggle, loneliness,  waiting period and so on. Instead trust them because they could be an opportunity and a time for you to build capacity,  build your relationship with God,  add value to yourself,  lay the foundation for your future and so on.
Many people fail at this time of their lives. They become antagonistic,  reserved, hating themselves and others, indulging in sin,  habits,  and things that will drain them in that period. Let me say that a waiting period is not a death sentence but a good time for you to die to self,  sin and things. Your waiting time should be valued because it is the period when you are being processed.

POETIC FLOW: THE RIGHTEOUSNESS OF GOD

JUST THINKING:

He is holy and righteous in nature
His throne is built on truth, righteousness and justice
God created man in his nature and likeness
But man sinned and missed the mark
In His mercy, he bought man back
The currency for the transaction was blood
The blood of His Son He begot
We are told that the life of a man is in his blood
He was beaten, scourged, stripped naked and killed
What a shame and disgrace!!!
The process of our redemption is beyond words
But Why would a man do this for his fellow men
Was this a show off?
No, it was the only way men could be redeemed and saved
We became the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus
This makes us come into his presence
without fear, guilt or condemnation
This nature makes us standout
But now that we are righteous,
We can't be lawless at the same time
We have become the light
This light does not entangle with darkness
No idols should be associated with us
Our friendship shouldn't be with the world
Of course, He made some promises

He said if we are not yoked with unbelievers,
He will become our father and we will become his children
He will become our God
He will dwell in and walk among us
So, we should perfect holiness in reverence and fear of God.

WHAT AM I DOING HERE?

JUST THINKING:

What am I doing here?  This is the question many people ask themselves when reality has done on them or when they meet with their eternal destination. The truth is most of us have asked ourselves this same question at one time or the other. You see yourself in the midst of people, place, situations that your upbringing,  mindset,  belief system,  value system,  and so on, do not flow with and you ask yourself "what am I doing here". The above question also means "why am I here"?
Now that you have realized where you are,  the first thing you need to do is to retrace your steps and maybe leave the scene or better still, improve or change the situation, people or place you have found yourself in.
When you realize and ask yourself,  "what am I doing here", it could help you leave that place or remain to change the place. All of it depends on you.
Also, If you think that  " I should not be here, but I am here", it is a sign of who you really are. You should not be in that company,  that situation,  that health state but you are there.  You may not be able to change that situation immediately but you can change your actions, your mindset and how you stay composed in that situation. You can learn or decide to live with that decision(s) that got you there.
Hell is real but most people do not think about it and they do things with reckless abandon that will take them there.  Fire burns and hurts but people still play with it. Also, a cloth may be very tight or a pair of shoes may not be your size,  but you just want to wear them because they look fine.  But when the pains set in,  you will ask yourself "why did I wear it"?

1 Kings 19:13 says,  "So it was, when Elijah heard it, that he wrapped his face in his mantle and went out and stood in the entrance of the cave. Suddenly a voice came to him, and said, “What are you doing here, Elijah?”

Most times when we are asked or when we ask ourselves that question "what am I doing here", we are in the wrong place,  environment and situations.  So, your decisions and actions you take consciously and unconsciously today determines "Why am I here or What am I doing here "?
This could be a regrettable relationship, career choice, house, environment, difficult situations, and so on. But you should not remain in that state of pain and regret. Instead retrace your steps, stand up and move on from there. The mistakes have been made but you are not a mistake. The actions that led you there are not you. So, dust yourself up and move on. You can make "What Am I Doing Here" to be a spring board to get out of the mess and become better or you can decide to blame yourself, others, and the situation while you keep drowning in the mud. The choice is yours for the taking.

POETIC FLOW: HE IS THE ANSWER

The Answer to every question, pain, thoughts, is what man seeks
The Answer eludes us most times
We seek the Answer in places and in people
But most times we get frustrated
The answer is not in the north, south, east and west
So many questions but the answer seem far and impossible
But I know the Answer to every question
His name is Jesus
Healing is in his hands
Health, Protection, Love, Comfort, happiness are parts of his nature
He is the rock on which we stand
He is the one solution to every fear
His love is for you and I
He does not discriminate
Jesus, He is the Answer
Yes, Answer to that sin, pain, sickness, weakness, failing, need and so on, is He
The Answer the world needs and craves for but wouldn’t admit it
He demonstrated the Answer on the cross
He said, ''it is Finished''.
