JUST THINKING:
The Bible is the oldest
book in the world that is still relevant today and will continue to be
relevant. The good book as some people call it covers every area of life. There
is no other book that covers from family to marriage, finance, business,
wisdom, health, security, love, and so on. Many people love the Songs of
Solomon which is seen as the manual for Lovers in the Bible. The book of
Proverbs carries so much wisdom for everyday living. In other words, the more
you read the bible, the more your life becomes simple.
Proverbs 24: 3-5 TLB
says, “Any enterprise is built by wise planning, becomes strong through common
sense, and profits wonderfully by keeping abreast of the facts. A wise man is
mightier than a strong man. Wisdom is mightier than strength”.
The above
translation of the book of Proverbs talks about an enterprise. An enterprise is
a project or an undertaking especially a bold, complicated, risky or a complex
one. It could also be a business, a company or an activity. Whatever you do can
be seen as an enterprise. This shows that an enterprise can be seen as a
business, a project, a relationship and so on. Whether it is
a business or any other activity, you need wise planning. Before you go into a
project, you need to count the cost and plan.
An existing company will always plans for the following year, it plans its budgets and any project it wants to ember on. While a company that is being put together would have been planned properly. If you want to build or buy a house, you have to plan everything. Planning brings ideas, helps you to get other people's insights into the projects, it helps you to make adjustments if necessary, it helps you to allocate resources, it helps you get the best hands and the best resources needed for the project. It also helps you with the cost, timing and duration of the project. As people would say, anyone who fails to plan has planned to fail.

Furthermore,
an enterprise becomes strong with Common sense. Common sense is one the most
used phrase used but most people do not know what it means. No wonder someone
once said that common sense is not common.
Proverbs
2:7-11 New Living Translation (NLT), “He grants a treasure of common sense
to the honest. He is a shield to those who walk with integrity.
The NKJV puts it this way: “He stores up sound
wisdom for the upright; He is a
shield to those who walk uprightly”.
According to the above scripture, common sense is known as sound
wisdom. To build a house, you need wisdom, understanding and knowledge, let
alone a business, an organization and so on. The earth and heavens were created
by God through wisdom, understanding and knowledge. If God could use sound
wisdom or common sense for the enterprise called the heavens and the earth, you
too need it for your day to day activities, your career, business, organization
and so on. Most enterprises that are strong today are based on the common sense
or sound wisdom they have and apply daily.
Also, an enterprise will profit by keeping abreast of facts. To
keep abreast of something means, “To remain closely informed about
something; to follow the developments of something or some situations. It could also mean to stay or cause to stay up
to date with
and to
make sure that you know all the most recent facts about a subject.
In other words, you need to be relevant by having up to date knowledge (information), upgrading yourself and so on. Whatever
you do or you want to go into, you need to keep abreast of the existing and
latest information of the industry you find yourself in if you want to be
relevant, add value and also profit from it.
