Kingdom Song Of The Day: "Hosanna".

Paul Baloche - Hosanna Lyrics

Artist: Paul Baloche

Album: A Greater Song

Praise is rising, eyes are turning to You, we turn to You
Hope is stirring, hearts are yearning for You, we long for You
'Cause when we see You we find strength to face the day
In Your presence all our fears are washed away, washed away

Hosanna, Hosanna
You are the God who saves us, worthy of all our praises
Hosanna, Hosanna
Come have Your way among us, we welcome You here, Lord Jesus

Hear the sound of hearts returning to You, we turn to You
In Your Kingdom broken lives are made new, You make us new
'Cause when we see You we find strength to face the day
In Your presence all our fears are washed away, washed away

Hosanna, Hosanna
You are the God who saves us, worthy of all our praises
Hosanna, Hosanna
Come have Your way among us, we welcome You here, Lord Jesus

'Cause when we see You, we find strength to face the day
In Your Presence all our fears are washed away
'Cause when we see You, we find strength to face the day
In Your Presence all our fears are washed away, washed away

Hosanna, Hosanna
You are the God Who saves us, worthy of all our praises
Hosanna, Hosanna
Come have Your way among us, we welcome You here, Lord Jesus

Hosanna, Hosanna
You are the God Who saves us, worthy of all our praises
Hosanna, Hosanna
Come have Your way among us, we welcome You here, Lord Jesus

Hosanna, Hosanna
Hosanna, Hosanna

A Cop In Brazil Cast Out A Demon From A Man Before Arresting Him.

Talk of the devil: The cop grabs the suspect's head and begins carrying out the exorcism.

A policeman called to arrest a drunk abusing people in the street stunned work pals and onlookers when he carried out an exorcism instead.

Reports say the police were called after the drunk man 28-yr-old Rodrigo Betti, began hurling insults at passers-by.

Lieutenant Ricardo Mendes, 36, had gone to the scene with colleagues in Goianira, Brazil and found Rodrigo Betti, hurling abuse at passers-by.

He offered a deliverance session to a ‘drunk’ and abusive man before arresting him.

But after approaching him, Mendes suddenly grabbed the man’s head as his colleague held him from behind and began muttering in Latin.

The Christian officer eventually began to shout: ‘Unleash his body, Jesus. Out in the name of Jesus.’

An onlooker Paulo Cortez, who captured the extraordinary incident on his camera phone, told local media: ‘The drunk began speaking in a weird way, his voice was very low, and he looked very strange.

‘I suddenly realised he was doing an exorcism on the man. It was incredible.’

As the man sank to his knees growling, Mendes continued holding his head and calling for the devil to get out.

Shock sight: The man writhes on the floor in front of the cops.

Cortez said: ‘At one point the man fell to the ground writhing and shouting. It really looked as if he was possessed. But the policeman was doing a great job.

‘Someone behind me then said he was going to get a priest.’

A police spokesman who verified the authenticity of the report said: ‘When the priest arrived the situation was under control and the man had been fully exorcised.

‘The officer acted properly in the situation and did not abuse his authority. He believes in God and regularly goes to church.’

Betti was arrested and released the following day.

He reportedly thanked the police officer saying: ‘I can’t remember a thing about last night, I must have been possessed by something.’

Scriptures Of The Day: "Psalm 139:1-24".

Psalm 139

To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David.
1 O Lord, thou hast searched me, and known me.
2 Thou knowest my downsitting and mine uprising,
thou understandest my thought afar off.
3 Thou compassest my path and my lying down,
and art acquainted with all my ways.
4 For there is not a word in my tongue,
but, lo, O Lord, thou knowest it altogether.
5 Thou hast beset me behind and before,
and laid thine hand upon me.
6 Such knowledge is too wonderful for me;
it is high, I cannot attain unto it.
7 Whither shall I go from thy spirit?
or whither shall I flee from thy presence?
8 If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there:
if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there.
9 If I take the wings of the morning,
and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea;
10 Even there shall thy hand lead me,
and thy right hand shall hold me.
11 If I say, Surely the darkness shall cover me;
even the night shall be light about me.
12 Yea, the darkness hideth not from thee;
but the night shineth as the day:
the darkness and the light are both alike to thee.
13 For thou hast possessed my reins:
thou hast covered me in my mother's womb.
14 I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made:marvellous are thy works;
and that my soul knoweth right well.
15 My substance was not hid from thee,
when I was made in secret,
and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth.
16 Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect;
and in thy book all my members were written,
which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them.
17 How precious also are thy thoughts unto me, O God!
how great is the sum of them!
18 If I should count them, they are more in number than the sand:
when I awake, I am still with thee.
19 Surely thou wilt slay the wicked, O God:
depart from me therefore, ye bloody men.
20 For they speak against thee wickedly,
and thine enemies take thy name in vain.
21 Do not I hate them, O Lord, that hate thee?
and am not I grieved with those that rise up against thee?
22 I hate them with perfect hatred:
I count them mine enemies.
23 Search me, O God, and know my heart:
try me, and know my thoughts:
24 And see if there be any wicked way in me,
and lead me in the way everlasting. (KJV)

Scriptures Of The Day: "Hebrews 13:1-25".

Chapter 13

1 Let brotherly love continue.
2 Be not forgetful to entertain strangers:for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.
3 Remember them that are in bonds, as bound with them; and them which suffer adversity, as being yourselves also in the body.
4 Marriage is honourable in all, and the bed undefiled:but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge.
5 Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have:for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.
6 So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.
7 Remember them which have the rule over you, who have spoken unto you the word of God:whose faith follow, considering the end of their conversation.
8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.
9 Be not carried about with divers and strange doctrines. For it is a good thing that the heart be established with grace; not with meats, which have not profited them that have been occupied therein.
10 We have an altar, whereof they have no right to eat which serve the tabernacle.
11 For the bodies of those beasts, whose blood is brought into the sanctuary by the high priest for sin, are burned without the camp.
12 Wherefore Jesus also, that he might sanctify the people with his own blood, suffered without the gate.
13 Let us go forth therefore unto him without the camp, bearing his reproach.
14 For here have we no continuing city, but we seek one to come.
15 By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name.
 16 But to do good and to communicate forget not:for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.
17 Obey them that have the rule over you, and submit yourselves:for they watch for your souls, as they that must give account, that they may do it with joy, and not with grief:for that is unprofitable for you.
18 Pray for us:for we trust we have a good conscience, in all things willing to live honestly.
19 But I beseech you the rather to do this, that I may be restored to you the sooner.
20 Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant,
21 Make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is wellpleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
22 And I beseech you, brethren, suffer the word of exhortation:for I have written a letter unto you in few words.
23 Know ye that our brother Timothy is set at liberty; with whom, if he come shortly, I will see you.
24 Salute all them that have the rule over you, and all the saints. They of Italy salute you.
25 Grace be with you all. Amen. (KJV)

Don't Become A Victim.

One of the things professionals will tell you is that you should not sign a reference form and stand as a guarantor for someone else. This is true because many people have fallen victim of it. Some have ended up in jail and paying up serious debts because they stood for someone who later defaulted or committed a crime or fraud. I was told of a customer who signed a reference for a banker on behalf of the banker's customer he didn't know from adam. The person in question was arrested later by the police because the banker's customer later committed a fraud. This incident happened many years after he had signed the reference. He paid with his integrity because he was trying to help someone else.
A few people have learnt from incidents like that man's experience who just wanted  to help some body. Have you wondered why people hardly do references and stand as a guarantor for you these days? They don't want to fall victim of it. One little mistake, carelessness, fraud, crime and so on can cost someone his career, life and future. The bible even has some thing to say about it.
Proverbs 11:15 says:
15 It's a dangerous thing to guarantee payment for someone's debts. Don't do it! CEV TRANSLATION
15 If you promise to pay a stranger's debt, you will regret it. You are better off if you don't get involved.
GNTD TRANSLATION
15  Whoever puts up security for a stranger will surely suffer harm, but he who hates striking hands in pledge is secure.
ESV TRANSLATION
15 Whoever guarantees to pay somebody else’s loan will suffer. It is safer to avoid such promises.
NCV TRANSLATION
15 There’s danger in putting up security for a stranger’s debt; it’s safer not to guarantee another person’s debt.    NLT TRANSLATION
15  He who becomes security for an outsider shall smart for it, but he who hates suretyship is secure [from its penalties]. AMP TRANSLATION.
The above various translations of Proverbs 15:11 really open it up and amplified it for us to learn. This does not mean that every body is a criminal, fraudster, defaulter and so on. But one thing I know is that every one makes mistakes and a mistake made by a person can affect someone else negatively for the rest of his life. We all have to be careful.
Furthermore, as a professional, business person, an individual and so on, you are always told to change your email password, office login password, phones and tablets passwords, ATM pass words and so on from time to time because of fraud and other criminal activities. I have fallen victim of it before. My facebook and yahoo mail accounts were arched and the person that did it almost got away with it. He was asking people for money both from my country and abroad until one or two people who knew me sensed some thing fishy. Some of my friends had to call me to confirm if I was the one doing and asking people for money like 500 pounds and so on. It took me two days to get back my accounts back from the fraudster through the help of an IT professional. I felt really bad about it but I thanked God that he didn't do much arm. Although, a few people fell to it and paid money into the account the fraudster had asked them to pay the money into.The experience taught me a big lesson and since then, I have been careful with my passwords.
Also, I was told of a banker whose colleague committed a fraud with his sign on or password. The banker in question was sick and he needed to stay back at home. But his password was needed to complete the transactions and approve them. He had to give it to a colleague of his who used the opportunity to commit a fraud. When the chips were down and push came to show, the person who committed the fraud and the guy who was sick were invited by the management of the company. What saved the banker was that when the investigation was carried out, thy discovered that he was on sick leave when the fraud was carried out. He was acquitted of the charges but the other guy was sacked. The guy who was acquitted later vowed that he would never give his password again to any body. He would have lost his job and would not be able to work in any financial company again in his country if he was not acquitted of the allegations.
This is a very serious matter that anyone can fall prey to. Don't say I am very meticulous, professional and I will never fall to it. Many people have made that same statement and fell to it. Yes, you and I can fall to this if we are not careful.
Another area we need to be careful about is the area of signing documents. Many people have sold their future, mortgage, families, careers, etc because they signed documents they didn't read very well and understand. Others have fallen because they refused to employ the services of a professional to help them interpret the documents. I have heard of footballers who have enslaved themselves because they signed the agreement of the contract with clubs without having understanding of the contents of the contracts. They signed in a hurray because they were very happy that they were signing with those clubs and also having the thoughts of being professionals abroad.
Before you sign any contract, read to understand or employ the services of a lawyer to interpret it before you sign. Make sure you sign on each page of the documents apart from the original place where you are supposed to sign. This will stop and prevent people from changing the documents by tearing off the page where you signed or supposed to sign and attaching it to some other documents which will implicate you. This is a serious matter and we need to be serious about it.
Lastly, going on an errand for someone is not a bad thing but it can cost you a lot. Many times people who travel abroad bring back things that their friends gave them to give their family members, loved ones and so on. They are sent on errands to many people with cash, parcels, things, boxes and so on. Unfortunately, a few people have found themselves in police net because they didn't know that the content of the parcel is unlawful, illegal and so on. If you are to run an errand for a friend, make sure you know what the contents are in the parcel or box or items of baggage. This singular act can save you a lot. To save yourself a lot of embarrassment, you need to know what you are carrying. Supposing you are carrying your death warrant to the executioner, how will you feel when you discover it.
2 Sam 11:14- 17 says, " 14 And it came to pass in the morning, that David wrote a letter to Joab, and sent it by the hand of Uriah. 15 And he wrote in the letter, saying, Set ye Uriah in the forefront of the hottest battle, and retire ye from him, that he may be smitten, and die. 16 And it came to pass, when Joab observed the city, that he assigned Uriah unto a place where he knew that valiant men were. 17 And the men of the city went out, and fought with Joab:and there fell some of the people of the servants of David; and Uriah the Hittite died also. (KJV)".
Uriah took his death warrant to General Joab. If he had asked what the content was before he took it, you and I would say it is wrong, rude and unethical. I know that reading other people's mails is wrong but knowing the content of a parcel will save you a lot of shame. If he had opened the letter on his way, he would have known the plans of the king but he didn't. He did the right thing but when it comes to bags, parcels, bigger things, make sure you know and see the content, so that you can defend it and not end up like Uriah. Many people have gone to jail and their early grave because they helped someone to carry some thing or a bag, only to find out that the content of the bag was cocaine. This could be painful because the people were trying to help not knowing the mind of the person whose parcel they were carrying.
We all need to be careful so that we do not end up like Uriah. Also, we should do our best so that we don't fall and become victims of the schemes and plans of the wicked. Don't mortgage your future for men's wickedness. Please, you have to be careful.

Scriptures Of The Day: " Proverbs 31:1-31"

Chapter 31

1 The words of king Lemuel, the prophecy that his mother taught him.
2 What, my son? and what, the son of my womb?
and what, the son of my vows?
3 Give not thy strength unto women,
nor thy ways to that which destroyeth kings.
4 It is not for kings, O Lemuel, it is not for kings to drink wine;
nor for princes strong drink:
5 Lest they drink, and forget the law,
and pervert the judgment of any of the afflicted.
6 Give strong drink unto him that is ready to perish,
and wine unto those that be of heavy hearts.
7 Let him drink, and forget his poverty,
and remember his misery no more.
8 Open thy mouth for the dumb
in the cause of all such as are appointed to destruction.
9 Open thy mouth, judge righteously,
and plead the cause of the poor and needy.
10 Who can find a virtuous woman?
for her price is far above rubies.
11 The heart of her husband doth safely trust in her,
so that he shall have no need of spoil.
12 She will do him good and not evil
all the days of her life.
13 She seeketh wool, and flax,
and worketh willingly with her hands.
14 She is like the merchants 'ships;
she bringeth her food from afar.
15 She riseth also while it is yet night,
and giveth meat to her household,
and a portion to her maidens.
16 She considereth a field, and buyeth it:
with the fruit of her hands she planteth a vineyard.
17 She girdeth her loins with strength,
and strengtheneth her arms.
18 She perceiveth that her merchandise is good:
her candle goeth not out by night.
19 She layeth her hands to the spindle,
and her hands hold the distaff.
20 She stretcheth out her hand to the poor;
yea, she reacheth forth her hands to the needy.
21 She is not afraid of the snow for her household:
for all her household are clothed with scarlet.
22 She maketh herself coverings of tapestry;
her clothing is silk and purple.
23 Her husband is known in the gates,
when he sitteth among the elders of the land.
24 She maketh fine linen, and selleth it;
and delivereth girdles unto the merchant.
25 Strength and honour are her clothing;
and she shall rejoice in time to come.
26 She openeth her mouth with wisdom;
and in her tongue is the law of kindness.
27 She looketh well to the ways of her household,
and eateth not the bread of idleness.
28 Her children arise up, and call her blessed;
her husband also, and he praiseth her.
29 Many daughters have done virtuously,
but thou excellest them all.
30 Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain:
but a woman that feareth the Lord, she shall be praised.
31 Give her of the fruit of her hands;
and let her own works praise her in the gates. (KJV)

Things That Bring Honour.

Every body loves to be honoured. When a boss calls out your name as an achiever or performer, you will feel honoured. If your pastor says something good using you as an example, you will feel so honoured that he spoke about you. Also, if the Governor of one's state pays him a visit, that person will tell the whole world about the honour he got by the visit. There is no one on earth who does not like to be honoured.  However, it does not come like that and easily. There are many things that can bring honour to us wherever we are and do. The following are just a few of those things that bring honour:

  1. Proverbs 4: 7 & 8 says "7 Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding. 8 Exalt her, and she shall promote thee: she shall bring thee to honour, when thou dost embrace her (KJV)". Having wisdom is one of those things in life every one of us should  have. It will guide you in decision making, handling issues and challenges and also bring you honour. If you really want honour, you need to ask God for wisdom. This wisdom is not man made or inherited. It is not the type you have as a result of your age but it is what God gives to you. There is a form of wisdom one gets as he becomes older. This wisdom is good but the wisdom that comes from God is what i am talking about. The wisdom is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, open to reason, full of mercy and good fruits, impartial and sincere. If you have this kind of wisdom, it will definitely bring you honour.
  2. The other thing that can bring one honour is DILIGENCE. Pro 22:29 says, " Seest thou a man diligent in his business? He shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean men. (KJV)". Any man that is diligent in whatever he does will eventually be honoured. Standing before kings and Queens as a result of one's diligence is an honour. What it will bring you is more than the efforts you put into that job, business, education, etc. Diligence goes beyond hard work. It also entails the ideas you put in, creativity, innovation, skills used, punctuality, uniqueness, expertise, professional touch, presentation, etc. Also, we all should know that diligence is our greatest possession. Proverbs 12:27 says, "The lazy man does not roast his game, but the diligent man prizes his possessions. NIV". If you want to be honoured, try diligence. It will bring you to places you don't expect yourself to get to.
  3. Some one once said that ANGER is a choice. There are things and people in life, in our offices, neighbourhood that piss us off daily. They say and do things that make us want to give them a piece of our mind. But we can convert anger in such a way that instead of destroying things with our hands as a result of it, it can bring us honour. Yes, I  said honour. The way you manage a situation of anger can either bring shame or honour to you. Proverbs 20:3 says, " It is an honour for a man to cease from strife: but every fool will be meddling. (KJV)". I love the way NCV translations puts it. It says " Foolish people are always fighting, but avoiding quarrels will bring you honor". Also, the NLT translation says "Avoiding a fight is a mark of honor; only fools insist on quarreling". The GNT translation  says "Any fool can start arguments; the honorable thing is to stay out of them". The various translations make me understand that avoiding strives, fights, arguments will bring you honour. People will offend you but to avoid them and not picking a fight or confrontation with them makes you an honourable person. Stay and do every thing to avoid conflicts though you may be hurt by what they do and you can't stop people from hurting you. Anger can make you destroy things but choosing not to be angry and reacting makes you honourable.
  4. Honouring your parents brings honour to you. If you do things that make your parents happy and proud, you are not only honouring them but you are also honouring yourself. Exodus 20: 12 says, " 12 Honour thy father and thy mother:that thy days may be long upon the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee. (KJV)". Some people don't respect their parents and some even insult them. If you disrespect and curse your parents, you are just bringing shame and disrespect to yourself. In my culture, if a child and young person insults his parents, his friends will be the ones that will deal with him. How will you feel when your father or mother says to you, "that is my son or daughter" when you have done some thing good?
  5. Pride is a major problem many of us are struggling with. It goes before a fall. Some "good" people have been destroyed by it. A few people who have it don't even know they have it. Pro 18:12 says, " Before destruction a man's heart is haughty, but humility comes before honor. (ESV)". I don't really know much about humility, but I know if you are humble,  you will be honoured. It is the opposite of pride and it is not looking at yourself as high, important and better off than others. Pride will take you to destruction but humility will take and bring you to honour. Are you proud, then you need to have a rethink. Also, Proverbs 29:23, " A man's pride shall bring him low: but honour shall uphold the humble in spirit. (KJV)".
  6. Being rebuked, corrected, and reproofed is something that most people don't like. When this happens, it is painful but it works out some thing good in you if you accept it. However proverbs 13:18 says, " Poverty and disgrace come to him who ignores instruction, but whoever heeds reproof is honored. (ESV)". This scripture sums it up. Many people are in poverty because they didn't heed to corrections, instructions and rebuke. Others have been disgraced and brought to shame because they disdained rebuke and correction. But honour will always come to those who accept them. Accepting rebuke is not easy but in the end, it brings honour.
  7. Many house helps, staffs, colleagues don't respect their boss because of over familiarity and because they think they know more than their boss or master. Proverbs 27:18 says " 18 Whoso keepeth the fig tree shall eat the fruit thereof: so he that waiteth on his master shall be honoured. (KJV)". Stop trying to prove that you know more than your boss, though it may be true. Your boss is still your boss no matter your experience and exposure. He will eventually honour you if you wait on him. The message translation puts Pro 27:18 this way: " 18 If you care for your orchard, you'll enjoy its fruit; if you honor your boss, you'll be honored. Msg".
  8. One major ingredient that is lacking in the lives of many today is righteousness. So many good and productive people know that they are lacking some thing vital in their lives but they can't place it. They have not realised that it is right there in front of them. It goes beyond right living. It is the nature of God that makes you stand before God though you are on earth without any guilt and condemnation. It makes you do and live right. This world will be a better place if we all have this nature in is. Also, we can win by righteousness wherever we are on earth. It can bring you honour if you live by it. Proverbs 21:21 says, " 21 Whoever pursues righteousness and kindness will find life, righteousness, and honor. (ESV)".
  9. This is the most important of all. If we all honour God with our lives, words, actions, etc, he will definitely honour us. 1 Samuel 2:30 says, "30 Therefore the Lord, the God of Israel, declares: ‘I promised that your house and the house of your father should go in and out before me forever,’ but now the Lord declares:‘Far be it from me, for those who honor me I will honor, and those who despise me shall be lightly esteemed. (ESV)". Also pro 22:4 says, " 4 The reward for humility and fear of the Lord is riches and honor and life. (ESV)". Lastly, if we always depend on and call on God concerning all things, He will honour us. For Psalm 91:15 says, " He shall call upon me, and I will answer him:I will be with him in trouble; i will deliver him, and honour him. (KJV)".

Honour can come to us in different ways. The above things and ways are just a few ways honour can come to a man. We should not go about looking for honour but if we do those things listed about, honour will definitely come to us. Wilson Ileogben.
