I Can't Do Without Sex.

In the course of a radio program where a musician was being interviewed, he was asked by the presented of the program if he loved sex and the so called superstar said, " I Can't Do without sex". This statement got me thinking. This so called superstar was not married and he made that statement. He does not know what he does when he sleeps with ladies and those ladies do not know what transpires when they have sex with him and other people. This is applicable to every one because if you sleep or have sex with some one who is not your spouse, some thing happens to you and a part of that person's life, DNA, etc is transferred to you. Imagine that person had slept with ten persons and each of those persons had had sex with ten people each. This means when you have sex with that person, you have indirectly slept with hundred (100 ) persons and their lives, DNA, etc have been transferred into you indirectly. No wonder many people are having issues that they can't explain and dreams they can't understand.

Sex sells today. Most adverts being done today, carry sex under tune. Some times I ask myself what is the relationship between the products, services and companies being advertised and a naked girl or people kissing in the advertised. This is very ridiculous because on billboards, television, magazines, etc, nudity, erotic pictures, are used to advertise things and services. Most of the things advertised has sex appeal.

Also, a popular person once said if you have it (body, Assets, or good curves), you should flaunt it. People flaunt their bodies "their Assets" and call it fashion or trendy. Is this what the bible and our parents taught us? I say no. We have really missed it in our generation. No wonder our parents' marriages lasted longer and that the rate of rape in their time was very, very low compared to ours. The consequence of nude adverts and floating our "Assets" is the increase of rape, promiscuity, adultery, fornication, masturbation, homosexuality, pornography, more and more sex in our generation. This is destroying people and they are not aware of it.

1 cor 3:16 &17 says, " Do you not know that you are God's temple and that God's Spirit dwells in you? 17 If anyone destroys God's temple, God will destroy him. For God's temple is holy, and you are that temple. (ESV).
Many of us are destroying our bodies, future, homes with illicit sex and sex related acts. The above scripture says that you are the temple of God and any one who destroys the temple of God will be destroyed by Him. How does one destroy God's temple or his body?

1 Cor 6:12-19 says, " 12 “All things are lawful for me,” but not all things are helpful. “All things are lawful for me,” but I will not be dominated by anything. 13 “Food is meant for the stomach and the stomach for food”—and God will destroy both one and the other. The body is not meant for sexual immorality, but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body. 14 And God raised the Lord and will also raise us up by his power. 15 Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ? Shall I then take the members of Christ and make them members of a prostitute? Never! 16 Or do you not know that he who is joined to a prostitute becomes one body with her? For, as it is written, “The two will become one flesh.” 17 But he who is joined to the Lord becomes one spirit with him. 18 Flee from sexual immorality. Every other sin a person commits is outside the body, but the sexually immoral person sins against his own body. 19 Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, 20 for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body. (ESV)".

The scriptures above that we should flee sexual immorality because it makes you sin against your body. Every other sin one commits is outside the body but sexual sin is against the body. Also, when you commit sexual sin destroys his body and any one person who sleeps with another person outside of marriage is called a prostitute. We call profession sex workers prostitutes but the Bible goes a bit further by saying anyone you sleep with outside of marriage is a prostitute. You become one with that person "prostitute" with whom you sleep. Both of you are called prostitutes and your bodies, life, DNA, etc become a part of that person and that person's body, life, DNA, etc become a part of yours.

You destroy your body which is the temple of God by sleeping around and HE will definitely destroy you. This is what the Bible says. Why not leave sex alone for the people that it is meant for. It is only ,meant for married  people. Please, don't be deceived by Hollywood. Have you ever wondered why you are having the same issues, challenges, trials, situations, pains, etc , married people are having? It is because you are doing  what they are doing. If you are doing what they are doing, you will surely have the pains and trials they are having. If you are involved in sex and sex related sins like oral sex outside of marriage, you should be prepared to face the consequences. Have you ever thought of AIDS, HIV, and other sexual transmitted diseases. Apart from sinning against God and you body, you will contract some of these diseases which may kill and destroy you and also you may get pregnant and have unwanted babies.

God will definitely destroy that person who destroys his temple. It may be through hell and through sexual transmitted diseases like AIDS and HIV and others. Why destroy your body and future when you can wait until you get married and enjoy sex to the fullest. Also, why do you destroy yourself, marriage and future by having extramarital affairs? Sex is just for a moment compared to your bright future and destiny. You can bring curses, trials and open the door to the devil by indulging in sex outside of marriage . When you break the edge, the serpent will surely bite. So, flee from every appearance of sexual immorality if you don't want the serpent to bit you. Wilson Ileogben.
