The Birth, Death and Resurrection Of Jesus.

Reflecting on the birth, burial and resurrection of our lord makes me feel bad and guilty. What Jesus went through for us was very terrible. But the life we live today is a far cry from what he died for and what he expects us to live. Is his suffering a waste over our lives due to the way we live? Let's reflect on the way we live and compare it to what he expects of us.
His birth is very relevant to us. If Christ was not given not given birth to, he would not have been crucified and resurrected. All these processes are very important for us as Christians. We are Christians today because he died for us and he was raised by the glory of the father . Our God is not dead but alive.
Isaiah 53 talks about he suffered. He was beaten and punished for the crime he did not commit. He did it for us.

To have an understanding of what Christ did on the cross, read the below scriptures:
Chapter 53
1 Who hath believed our report?
and to whom is the arm of the Lord revealed?
2 For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant,
and as a root out of a dry ground:
he hath no form nor comeliness;
and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him.
3 He is despised and rejected of men;
a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief:
and we hid as it were our faces from him;
he was despised, and we esteemed him not.
4 Surely he hath borne our griefs,
and carried our sorrows:
yet we did esteem him stricken,
smitten of God, and afflicted.
5 But he was wounded for our transgressions,
he was bruised for our iniquities:
the chastisement of our peace was upon him;
and with his stripes we are healed.
6 All we like sheep have gone astray;
we have turned every one to his own way;
and the Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.
7 He was oppressed, and he was afflicted,
yet he opened not his mouth:
he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter,
and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb,
so he openeth not his mouth.
8 He was taken from prison and from judgment:
and who shall declare his generation?
for he was cut off out of the land of the living:
for the transgression of my people was he stricken.
9 And he made his grave with the wicked,
and with the rich in his death;
because he had done no violence,
neither was any deceit in his mouth.
10 Yet it pleased the Lord to bruise him; he hath put him to grief:when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the Lord shall prosper in his hand. (KJV).
He went through a lot for us all. Here was punished for crimes he didn't not commit. He took our place and died for us. What could have befallen us came upon him. What a sacrifice. Yes I said a sacrifice. He was sacrificed for us so that we will not be punished and go to hell. He is faithful.

 Also, When he died the bible says in Colossians 2:14&15 that
' 14 Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;
15 And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it. (KJV)".

All the curses, ordinances, written codes against us were blotted out by Christ. He also made a public show of the devil and his boys on the cross. They were given the very beating of their lives by our lord. They all were laughing and celebrating that Jesus was crucified. He was beaten and killed but what he achieved while being beaten and when he was crucified was more than the beatings he received. It was an irony because they thought they were getting rid of him where as the reverse was the case. His death brought us victory, deliverance, healing, peace and so on.

As if that was not enough, his resurrection brought us a lot. If he was not raised to life, none of us will be called Christians today. We will all be under the influence of the devil. His resurrection is what has given us an edge over every other religion on earth. Our God is nor dead but alive. If you still doubt it, take a look at the world. The things that the bible and Christ spoke about his second coming are happening right before our eyes. As we celebrate his resurrection, we should not lose sight of his coming. Instead, his resurrection should get us prepared for his second coming. He is coming very soon.
