Woman Went Into Labour During A Football Match In Brazil.

 



A football match in Brazil came to a grinding halt on Wednesday when a female spectator went into labour.
Way down the football pyramid, the match between Barra da Tijuca and Audax Rio came to a stop as a medical helicopter flew into the stadium to help a women give birth.
According to Globo, the incident began just ten minutes into the Carioca 2 game.
Although the helicopter arrived, it ultimately came too late to help with the baby’s delivery. Happily, firefighters at the scene were on hand to assist with the birth.
The chopper then lifted the mother and newborn to hospital.
Noticeably, Globo also made sure to report that the mother was a “beautiful girl”.
The birth of the baby was undoubtedly the highlight of the occasion as the game ended in a goalless draw.
