MADNESS IS FREE

 JUST THINKING:

The rule of law makes everyone equal in the eyes of law. One major thing about the rule of law is the fundamental rights of the citizens of any country. Citizens are entitled to the right to self-determination, liberty, and due process of law, freedom of movement, freedom of thought, region, expression, assembly and association.

As a result of the freedom we enjoy, a lot of people go beyond board daily. They abuse the privileges given to them by the law of the land in which they live.  People drink, get drunk, destroy things and embarrass themselves because they think they are free to do whatever they like. Why would someone decide to sexually abuse a lady, a minor, the elderly and even anyone? This is one of the reasons why countries put some measures in place to curb the excesses of people despite their fundamental human rights.

The expression,''Madness is free'', does not mean that one should abuse himself, others, and destroy properties. It does not mean one should become crazy, insane,  aggressive towards people and become a nuisance. Instead, "Madness is free" is a Paradox. It is an expression that means to be compassionate, zealous and enthusiastic about a cause you believe in. You are free to become who and whatever you want to become. Nobody can stop you from being what you desire to become. Also, no one can stop you from following your passions and your heart desires except you. But this is not the case for a lot of us.

Many people want to be musicians, writers, poets, fashion designers and so on, but they are scared of disappointing their parents who want them to become lawyers or something else. Some people look back and wish they had followed their passion instead of pleasing people. Why regret later when you can take the bull by the horn today.

As for me, I prefer to be mad for the right things, my vision and a good cause than live a life following the bandwagon. Paul was called a mad man because of his passion for God and His word.

Acts 26:24 NIV says, ''at this point Festus interrupted Paul’s defense.“You are out of your mind, Paul!” he shouted.''Your great learning is driving you insane.''

Acts 26: 24 NKJV says,'' Now as he thus made his defense, Festus said with a loud voice, “Paul, you are beside yourself! Much learning is driving you mad!
Paul’s desire and passion for learning the mind, the ways, the truths of God and His kingdom made Festus call him a mad man. Like Paul, are people calling you insane or mad because of your passion, your vision and your desires? If you have any passion which can add value to mankind, I would advise that you go for it. You are free to be mad about whatever you believe in. Madness is free with regards to your passion and vision. Stop being mad at people who push you around but become mad for that idea and vision burning in your heart.

Romans 1:16, “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek’’.

I am compassionate about the things of God. So, leave me alone when I preach to people about Christ with my write-ups and through other means. If prostitutes are not ashamed of whom and what they are, I am not ashamed to be a child of God and do what I do. It is a free world and you are free to be mad. The world is waiting for the next great thing that you have on the inside of you.
