THAT PAIN COULD BE FOR A REASON

JUST THINKING:
Pain, disappointments, betrayal, challenges, trails and issues of life are real. And every one of us should realize that we should seek God concerning every challenge we are faced with. We should not think that it is the Devil or people who are responsible all the time for the challenges we are faced with. They might come from the devil, people and even God.
The Bible says in 1 Samuel 1:3-7:
3 This man went up from his city yearly to worship and sacrifice to the LORD of hosts in Shiloh. Also, the two sons of Eli, Hophni and Phinehas, the priests of the LORD, were there.
4 And whenever the time came for Elkanah to make an offering, he would give portions to Peninnah his wife and to all her sons and daughters
5 But to Hannah he would give a double portion, for he loved Hannah, although the LORD had closed her womb.
6 And her rival also provoked her severely, to make her miserable, because the LORD had closed her womb.
7 So it was, year by year, when she went up to the house of the LORD, that she provoked her; therefore she wept and did not eat.
From the above scriptures in verse 5 and 6, the bible says, ''The Lord Had Closed her womb". This may sound funny to us but it is the book of the bible that says it. Does it mean that God was being wicked to Hannah and her husband? Does it mean that HE is a wicked God and He enjoys afflicting us with pain, burdens and trials. Certainly No........ Men and the devil may be wicked, selfish and heartless but not God.
Hannah’s experience as stated in the scriptures can be likened to the experience many of us have had or are having. If she knew it was the LORD who closed her womb, she would not have felt bad, cried, and become angry when her rival provoked or made a jest of her. She would have channeled her prayer in a different way if she knew that God was responsible for it. She would have also tackled the challenge as if nothing was wrong with her if she knew the Lord had a hand in her pain.
Furthermore, if we were in her shoes, we would have been rebuking the devil, throwing spiritual grenades and calling down fire on people we assume are responsible for our state or challenges. We will also point a finger at everyone who has hurt, offended or even threatened us before.
However, we should realize that some of the trials we are faced with might have come from God for our own good and to make us better people. Like most of us, the thought that it was someone responsible for it or the sins she had committed that were the cause of her predicament may never cross her mind if she knew the source of her pain. The source of your pain could show the purpose and the importance of it in your life and future.
