TWO OPPOSITE MINDSETS ON THE SAME ROAD

JUST THINKING:

There are so many teachings on how to become and remain successful, rich and wealth. Some of the teachings work and some do not work depending on the peculiarities of the environments, personalities and so on. We have also been told that behind every successful man, there is a woman. All of the insights into how to become successful could be right depending on the individuals.
Proverbs 11:16 GNT, “A gracious woman is respected, but a woman without virtue is a disgrace. Lazy people will never have money, but aggressive people will get rich”.
The above scripture explains a lot on why people do not get money and rich. Other translations of the scripture put it differently but the Goodness Translation (GNT) is amazing. It says, “Lazy people will never have money and aggressive people will get rich”. Laziness is the quality of being unwilling to work or use energy. It is also seen as idealness and it is believed that it is associated with poverty and failure.
Proverbs 12:27 says, “The lazy man does not roast what he took in hunting, but diligence is man’s precious possession”.
Proverbs 22:13 says, “The lazy man says, “There is a lion outside! I shall be slain in the streets!”
One of the reasons a lazy man will never have money is because he does not roast his game. This means he does not add value to what he has. He could be gifted but he does not improve himself in the areas of his strength. He does not position himself so that his gifts can become visible. A lazy person does not get started in the morning, does not finish what he starts, is full of excuses, has unrealistic dreams, he dreams of easy money without any efforts, and is a slacker.
Fear and hopelessness are some other factors associated with laziness. When you see someone who gives up easily, you have seen a lazy man. If a man always gives reasons for not taking a decisions, he is lazy. So, laziness could be physical thing, a mental thing and even a spiritual thing.
Furthermore, Proverbs 11:16 GNT also says that, ‘’but aggressive people will get rich”. Another scripture called it ruthless people. Most of the rich people in the world are either aggressive or ruthless. Many CEOs are ruthless in decision making, making investments, expansion, buying over other businesses and so on. They take decisions without considering the feelings of people who work with them. When they take decisions, they don’t look back. This is one of the reasons many of them are getting richer, expanding and still in business. This does not mean that are wicked and callous but they are just crazy and aggressive about their investments, businesses, vision and their future. Any one that could impede them or slows them down could be fired. Businesses strive on smart and calculative decisions and not on feelings.
Also, aggressive people in the context of the phrase are people who are desperate, motivated and determined to achieve their goals and vision. They do not take NO for an answer despite the odds. They do not allow anything to deter them from achieving their goals. They are aggressive and passionate about their visions. They put in everything to achieve their set target. What people say is impossible spurs them on to achieve it. They hang out, spend time and money to meet people who are influencers in organizations. They go all out in learning, seeking knowledge and getting vital information.
