WELCOME TO HIS WORLD

JUST THINKING

We all have experienced disappointments, rejections, pains, and so on at various levels and times. You went for a job interview and you felt you had done well only for you to get a mail later on that says, "you did well but the job has been given to someone else”. You were also due for promotion and every indication shows it is your time. But the list of those promoted came out and your name was not on the list only for you to see the names of those who were not as qualified as you are on the list. This may sound hilarious but it has happened to several people. You went for a party and when it got to your turn to be served, someone comes to you and says, "sorry sir/ma, the food and drinks have finished".
Ouch, I know that feeling because I have experienced it before. There are more and more scenarios of disappointments, shock and surprises we all have experienced and heard of. But the only thing I would say is, "welcome to the world".
Matthew 16: 33 says, "these things I have spoken to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world".
In the world, there are challenges, troubles, heart pains, tribulations and so in the world. But Jesus assured us that in him we will have peace. This peace cannot be described because it is not tied to the things of the world. It can only be gotten in Jesus.
When the storm came suddenly against the boat Jesus and his disciples were in, he had peace while his disciples were scared that their end had come. In the midst of that great tempest, he was sleeping. This is the world he is talking about when he said, ‘’in me you may have peace but in the world you will have tribulations".
Since we are living in this world, trials, disappointments, and storms will come but if our anchor is on him, we will not be moved by those things. Instead, we will have peace. The peace that does not make you fidget in the face of visible storms and trials. This peace is not made man and it makes you unmovable and unshakable no matter what.
The Bible makes us understand that we are in this world but not of this world. The storms are of this world but the peace of God which we can only get in Christ is not of this world. So, if you are in Christ, though living in this world, you may have peace when confronted with the issues of life. Also as Christians, we operate from a different world which is far higher than this world. This is the world we are supposed to be operating from daily if we want to experience peace. There will be stomps in your office, environments, career, relationships and so on, but you can experience total peace if you are operating from that world here on earth.
Everyone loves peace but there are different kinds of peace. There is negative peace that comes from having things or knowing someone. But it does not last. This kind of peace makes you lie just to avoid quarrel or it makes you do wrong things just to meet the immediate needs. However, it is temporary.
Negative peace is different from the peace that can only be gotten in Christ. The Christ kind of peace makes you look at a storm in the face without fear. It also makes you go to bed when others are running up and down the hill. Mind you, when you are in His world, all the storms and challenges will work together for your good if you love God.
Romans 8:28 says, "And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them".
This peace is available to you today if only you can come to Him. Personally, I would like to invite you to His world. Though you live in this world, you can operate from His world right here on earth.
