DRESSING MODESTLY

Looking good is good business.It makes you confident and bold. The fashion business is an industry that will never crumble because of its creativity and the need for it. But in dressing, we need to apply wisdom. I have seen some people dress and I feel like,"Oops". 

If someone wears brown shoes, green pair of trousers and red shirt, people will say the person in question does not have dress sense. Dress sense is important in dressing but we need to apply caution. Some people go as far as borrowing and stealing clothes to impress others. You don't need to please any one. Wear whatever you have because the clothes don't make or define you but you make the clothes what they are. Without you Nike, Givenchy, Thomas Pink, etc will not be existing. 

So don't allow clothes define you. Remember, we are kings, Queens and Princes with God. Today Men, women, boys, girls wear things and I wonder what has happened to modesty, humility and the upbringing our parents gave us. The purpose of clothing is covering our bodies. Gen 3:7&21 says,(7 Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they realized they were naked; so they sewed fig leaves together and made coverings for themselves.21 The LORD God made garments of skin for Adam and his wife and clothed them). Any clothes you wear that exposes and does not cover sensitive parts of your body both front and back, shows you are wearing leaves. 

When God saw that the leaves didn't cover Adam and Eve properly, he had to make clothes with animal skin for them. Wow, even God has dress sense. Clothes are meant for covering our bodies. I see boys, girls, married men and women sagging, exposing their front, chest and back and I realise why there is high rate of rape, promiscuity, divorce, infidelity, etc in our time. Dress the way you want people to address you and the way you dress determines who and what approaches you. It also gives people an impression about you.
