KEEPING THE FIRE BURNING

Fire is some thing that people don't play with. As dangerous as it is, it is very important to man. It is used for cooking and other things. Nobody will see fire and put his hand deliberately on it. If they do, they will get burnt. Many lives, businesses, documents, properties have been destroyed by fire. Every one should be careful about fire when they cook and when they use it as a source of light at home.

However, Fire reminds me of what the Bible says in Luke 3:16 that,(16 John answered everyone, “I baptize you with water, but there is one coming who is greater than I am. I am not good enough to untie his sandals. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire). This fire is different from the physical fire because it is spiritual and unique. However, they have similarities. For a Christian born of God and the word, anyone who tries to touch him gets burnt. Flies can't perch on a very hot pot let alone fire. Demons can't perch on you because you are hot. If you are sizzling hot, demons run away from you unless you become cold.

Are you hot today and cold tomorrow? Then check your life. Leviticus 6:12 says,
( But the fire must be kept burning on the altar; it must not be allowed to go out.The priest must put more firewood on the altar every morning, place the whole burnt offering on the fire, and burn the fat of the fellowship offerings).
Every Christian is a Priest and he is to put firewood on the altar of his life daily. This fire must not go out.The kind of firewood (word, prayer, books you read, friends) you put determines how well the fire will burn. If you put dry firewood, the fire will burn well and vice versa if you put wet firewood. If you are burning for God, you don't need to shout "Holy Ghost Fire" because that fire is in you. When evil people see you from afar, they will  flee from. They will try to keep you from burning by bringing sin into your life.
This fire also purifies and seasons you. Mark 9:49 says,( Everyone will be salted with fire). Salt gives taste, preserves, seasons and purifies food and things. This is what the fire within you does. So, don't put it out but keep  it burning. Are you still burning for God or have you become a den for demons?
