WITH GOD ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE

JUST THINKING:

"With God all things are possible" is a statement we make from time to time. It has become a slang to us without knowing the potency of it. It is a statement of fact that with God all things are possible. In the bible, it was made several times but in different contexts.

Luke 1:31 says, "For with God nothing will be impossible” NKJV

In the above scripture, Angel Gabriel spoke to Mary concerning the promises of God made about the son she would have. She was skeptical about it since she was a virgin but the Angel Gabriel later had to convince her that her cousin Elizabeth who was old and said to be barren was six months pregnant.

In above context, it was used concerning God’s promises to Mary. When God promises you anything, He will perform it because He is not a man that He should lie. Has God promised you anything?  He will surely bring it to fruition. As Christians, He has promised us several things if we live according to his will, commandments and so on. But our experiences, encounters, situations and so on make us doubt Him and His promises. I would advise that you hold on to his word concerning anything he has promised you.  Please, do not limit yourself by looking at your weaknesses, account, education, background and challenges concerning His promises to you because "with Him all things are possible".

Furthermore, Matthew 19:16-30 talks about a young rich leader who came to Jesus wanting to know how he could get eternal life. But he left disappointed at the end of the day because Jesus told him to sell his properties and give it to the poor.  The man missed it because of his attachment to his wealth. Instead of trusting God, he left disappointed. In this context, “With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible”, was used concerning what God tells, reveals or shows you to do or carry out. Whatever God has told you to do, do it accordingly and He will surely make it happen. The vision He gives you may be bigger than you but "With Him all things are possible".  Are you faced with challenges after God told you to do or led you into a business, relationship and ministry and now you feel disappointed and you want to give up on God and his word?  I would like you to trust Him because with Him nothing shall be impossible.

Lastly, to do the things God has told you to do and to hold on to his promises without wavering, you need to have faith in God. Faith in God is being fully persuaded that what the unseen God has said is real, true and it will happen just as he has said it.

Matthew 17:20 says, "So Jesus said to them, “Because of your unbelief; for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you".
