A times I consider the prophecies and revelations that came to me through people and directly to me, and I ask myself if they would ever come to past. I have even said to someone that I don't like prophecies because it does not tell you the process towards the fulfilment of the prophecies in your life and the time frame. But when I see scriptures like these below, I become encouraged:
1chronicles 16:15 NCV says "He(God) will keep his agreement forever; he will keep his promises always". Whatever convenant and agreement God has ever entered into with any one, he has always kept his own part of it. He always keeps his word. His word is his bond and you can take it to the bank. The prophecies God has genuinely spoken to you will eventually come to fruition. Please don't give on God and his prophecies because of your inability to wait until what God said comes to being. As long as it was God that said and promised it, it will come to pass.
Also, Numbers 23:19 NCV, ( God is not a human being, and he will not lie. He is not a human, and he does not change his mind. What he says he will do, he does. What he promises, he makes come true). So don't give up on God because he won't give up on you. Have you waited for long and you now feel like throwing in the towel concerning God's words and promises? You need to have a rethink because God's ways are not our ways.
Most times we want things to happen fast in our lives but God wants otherwise. This does not mean that God is stingy, selfish and wicked but that he is trying to work some thing in us through patience. People complain in various ways and it is not the best. I learnt a big lesson recently and it has thought me to believe in God always and not to give up.
On my way to work one morning, my wife and I saw a Hawker/ Vendor praying over his wares. What interested me about it was the way he was praying over his goods. The goods he carried about on his head in a wooden class box were snacks( "Puff Puff"). I was really touched about his attitude. His snacks may not bring him so much but instead of complaining, giving up on life and even stealing, he decided to sell them to earn a living. He didn't stop there. He called on God to bless his little business. His attitude showed that he was looking up to God for his blessings upon his business and increase. So, Instead of cursing and complaining about that so called small business, job and issues, why not pray to God concerning it. Let's trust God in every thing we do because his promises concerning us will come to pass. Please, don't give up on God because he won't give up on you. WILSON ILEOGBEN
