The tattoo business has become a viable business become it is the main thing in town. I see tattoos all over some people and i wonder if they looked at the mirror before they left their homes. I also ask myself if they have friends or family members all at. What does tattoo add to your body? People spend their hard earn money just to have tattoo. They want to belong and feel like big boys and girls. Apart from the money spent, people who get their bodies or parts of their bodies designed expose themselves to having infections,contacting diseases, inviting and opening the doors to the devil into their lives. The health risks involved are higher than whatever impression the people who get them designed on their bodies are trying to create. Who are you trying to impress?
Many people do it to impress others and some do it out of inferiority complex. Don't be deceived, no one really gets impressed by it. People may tell you that they like it and it looks good on you, but as long as it will not add value to your body, life and theirs, it is useless. You are fearfully and wonderfully made by God and you are a wonder because that is how God has created you. Why do you bring down yourself by tattooing your body? Are you saying that God didn't make you well? It looks as if you don't really know who you are.
The bible says that we are fearfully and wonderfully made. But if you don't know who you are, people will tell you who you are not. They will make you think that if you don't have tattoo, you are nobody, "a jew man or a jones". These people will make you think that you are missing out. But this is what the Bible says about it. Lev 19:28 NIV says, (Do not cut your bodies for the dead or put tattoo marks on yourselves. I am the LORD). This scripture makes me understand that God does not like it. If you did it out of ignorance or deliberately, you had better take it off your body because it does not please God.
The people you are trying to model your life after, how is their lives? You got tattooed because you saw it on others and you felt that you must follow the trend. This trend is costing people their health, finances and the beautiful bodies God gave them. You must be kidding me if you think you will be accepted for destroying your body with tattoos. When God made man, he said man was good. What God created is perfect and topnotch. So why are you trying to be someone else. I hope you are not thinking that it is one of the ways you express yourself. Those superstars you want to be like and emulate, you just have to have a rethink about it because a blind man can't lead another blind person.
Hebrews 6:12 says, "so that you may not be sluggish, but imitators of those who through faith and patience inherit the promises. (ESV)". Don't follow people because they have money and fame. But follow people whose lives have affected you and others and who ended up well. Many of the people you try do model your life after are into drugs, pimping, gangsterism, crime, prostitution and the way their lives is now is an eyesore and not pleasing. Many of them end up committing suicide, going to jail, loosing their wealth and so on. They have tattoos and you too want to have it too because you think it is what makes them thick. Guess what, some people with tattoos are regretting having them. They want to take it off but they can't because the ink used to design the tattoos is an indelible ink. It is a pity that you want to get tattooed. It only shows that you don't have a life. Try to get one please.
Lastly, the devil introduced tattoos to destroy many people in this generation and also to prepare them for receiving the mark of the beast( Antichrist) 666. If it is easy to get a tattoo, it will be very easy to get the mark of the beast after the rapture. Many of us don't know this about the things we tattoo on our bodies. It is a strategy from the pit of hell to prepare the hearts of lost souls to easily accept the mark of the beast as it is easy to pay for it willingly. No wonder God hates it. Wilson Ileogben
