A person is not guilty until he is pronounced guilty by the court of law. This means that when one commits a crime, you and I have no right to call that person in question a thief, a fraudster, a murderer until he is tried in the court of law, found guilty and pronounced a fraudster or a murderer, etc.
One major issue world wide today is the crime of murder. People are murdered daily and some times, the police are not able to find the murderer. When one commits murder, he will be given a long life prison sentence or sentenced to death. But a few times, it does not happen that way.
Murder is the unlawful killing, with malice aforethought, of y human. While a murderer is a criminal who commits homicide (who performs the unlawful premeditated killing of another human being). However, the Bible gives us another aspect of who a murderer is.
1 John 3:15 says," Everyone who hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life abiding in him (ESV)". This Scripture says that if you hate anyone ( your brother), you are a murderer. Waow, i believe this sounds strange to some people.
Is there any one in your life that you hate? The Bible says you are a Murderer for hating that Person. You might have been hurt by your spouse, parents, people and so, that does not give you the right to hate them. Instead, you should forgive them. I know some people are hurting because of the experiences they had in the past. Some people were raped, betrayed, disappointed, etc. It must have been painful to you. But the truth is that you hurt yourself more by hating and being angry with them. With all the feelings and pains, you should not hate those persons involved. Instead love and pray for them. Also, you have every right to be angry but you should learn to forgive, though it is not easy.
If you are a hater, you need to consider this and forgive that person and also repent of the hatred you have for that person. You must have said in your heart that you will never forgive that person because of the gravity of what the Person(s) did to you. However, you need to learn from our lord and master, Jesus Christ and his disciple, Stephen, who prayed to God to forgive the people who persecuted, betrayed, stoned and killed them. This is the way we should live if we want to make heaven. We should learn how to forgive people no matter what.
Matt 5: 11& 12 says, " 11 Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. 12 Rejoice, and be exceeding glad, for great is your reward in heaven, for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you. (KJV)".
Instead of being angry, we should rejoice when persecuted and reviled. As hard as it looks, Jesus and Stephen have set examples for us.
ROM 12:14-20 says,"14 Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse them. 15 Rejoice with those who rejoice, weep with those who weep. 16 Live in harmony with one another. Do not be haughty, but associate with the lowly. Never be wise in your own sight. 17 Repay no one evil for evil, but give thought to do what is honorable in the sight of all. 18 If possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all. 19 Beloved, never avenge yourselves, but leave it to the wrath of God, for it is written, “Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord.” 20 To the contrary, “if your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink; for by so doing you will heap burning coals on his head.” 21 Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good. (ESV)".
We should bless those who have hurt us and not revenge. Also, we should not pay evil with evil because vengeance is meant for God. Pour out your pain, frustrations, hurts, anger, bitterness to God and he will purge you of them and help you to forgive. Stop paying evil with evil and leave it to him. He will fight for you and you will hold your peace. For all the haters, you need to forgive all the people you hate because the Bible says in Matt 5:11&12 that you will be judged for being angry at your brother. If a person is judged legally for committing murder, you too will be judged by God for hating (being angry with) people because he sees you as a murderer the way the law sees a person who physically kills another person illegally.
